You are looking at my 1989 National Resophonic Duolian guitar made in 1989 when the National company had been reformed by some ex-Dobro luthiers. I bought the guitar new. It was the 56th guitar made by the reformed company. The guitar is a reproduction of the early 1930's Duolian guitar. It has a 12-fret mahogony neck with and an unbound rosewood fretboard. The name "National Duolian" is stamped into the headstock. The body and coverplate have a baked-on finish. The colour is charcoal grey and has a slightly lighter sunburst in the centre which blends into the grey. It has a plush-lined case which came with the guitar. The condition of the guitar I would describe as excellent and it is over 20 years old. The quality is what you expect from a high-range resophonic guitar. The sound is loud and crisp. It is easy to fret and very easy to use slide with. You will not be dissapointed. Versions of this guitar now sell for around £2000. If you want a blues National, do not look any further.
